Properties and uses: Azelaic Acid is a dicarboxylic acid widely used in cosmetics and dermatology due to its benefits for tissue regeneration and skin health. It exhibits antioxidant properties thanks to its ability to neutralize free radicals. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used in acne treatment by unclogging pores, reducing inflammation, and balancing excess oil in the skin. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it is effective in alleviating rosacea symptoms. Azelaic Acid inhibits melanin production, thereby reducing skin tone irregularities (melasma, lentigo) and providing a more even skin tone. It gently removes dead cells from the skin surface and helps regenerate the skin. It is used in anti-aging products to reduce signs of aging and rejuvenate the skin.

Recommended pH range: In aqueous solutions, the pH is at a low acidic level, approximately in the range of 4.5 - 5.5.

Solubility: Azelaic acid is sparingly soluble in water. It is easily soluble in Propylene Glycol.

Recommended usage rate: Can be used in the range of 1%-10%. Higher concentrations are effective in conditions such as acne treatment, pigmentation problems, and rosacea.
