It is used in products such as creams, lotions, and serums due to its moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. In shampoos, conditioners, and scalp treatments, they are used to maintain scalp health and prevent dandruff. Their antimicrobial effects allow them to be used in deodorants and antiperspirants to control odor-causing bacteria.

Physical Form: Derived from natural fatty acids (caprylic acid and undecylenic acid) and glycerin, it is frequently used in formulations marketed as "natural" or "green." It is usually clear, colorless or pale yellow. It is liquid at room temperature (25°C). It has a mild characteristic odor. The odor usually becomes imperceptible when incorporated into a formulation. It is a liquid with medium to low viscosity. This allows it to be easily dispersed in formulations.

Recommended pH range: The recommended pH range for LEXGARD NATURAL herbal preservative is generally between pH 4.0-7.0. 

Solubility: Oil-soluble, water-insoluble. Therefore, it is found in the oil phase and can be used in water-oil emulsions.

Function: It acts as an emulsifier in cosmetic formulations, helping to stabilize oil-in-water emulsions. It has broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties. It is effective against bacteria, yeast, and fungi.

Recommended usage rate: It is used at 0.5-1% in skin protection and soothing products. For products aimed at preventing skin aging, a rate of 1-2% should be preferred. A rate of 1-2% can also be used in sun protection products. In skin repair and care products, a usage rate of 0.5-1.5% should be formulated.
