Properties and Uses: Provides stability in high oil-content formulations and sunscreens. Helps create a silky and homogeneous texture. Involved in the mixing of water and oil, thereby helping to lock in skin moisture. Thanks to its fatty acid and lipid content, it strengthens the skin's barrier function. It can be used in sunscreens, moisturizers, serums, creams, under-eye care products, and masks.
Physical Form: Creamy white in color. It is a viscous liquid with a light herbal scent.
Recommended pH range: Generally stable in the pH range of 4.5 - 5.5. This pH range is compatible with the skin as it is close to the skin's natural pH level.
Solubility: Water-soluble. Stabilizes water and oil mixtures.
Recommended usage rate: Can be used between 1-10% depending on the formulation.
