Product Name   : Vitamin E
Inci Name  : Tocopheryl Acetate
CAS No.      : 7695-91-2

Properties and uses: Tocopheryl acetate is a compound that is a derivative of vitamin E. With its antioxidant properties, it protects against the harmful effects of free radicals, preventing cell damage. Its absorption into the skin is easy when applied topically, and it converts to vitamin E. It is more resistant to oxidation, so it has a longer shelf life than pure vitamin E. In skincare, it is widely used in many skincare products such as moisturizers, anti-aging creams, and sunscreens. It increases skin elasticity, moisturizes, and protects. In food supplements, it is used as a stable form of vitamin E in vitamin supplements. In pharmaceuticals, it is an active ingredient in wound healing creams and various topical medications. In cosmetic products, it is used in lipsticks, foundations, makeup primers, and other cosmetic products for its skin-protective and moisturizing properties. In hair care products, shampoos, and conditioners, it helps keep hair healthy and shiny by nourishing the scalp. Tocopheryl acetate is a widely preferred ingredient in skincare, known for its broad range of protective and nourishing properties.

Physical Appearance: It has a color ranging from colorless to pale yellow. It has a mild, indistinct odor. It is a moderately viscous liquid, easily spreadable. Tocopheryl Acetate is more stable than pure vitamin E (tocopherol).

Recommended pH range: The pH should be between 3.5-6.5. This pH range helps Tocopheryl Acetate maintain its stability and effectiveness. It is stable in acidic (lower pH) environments. When the pH value rises above 6.5, it may affect the stability of the formulation.

Solubility: Vitamin E is insoluble in water. It is well soluble in oil and organic solvents. This property makes it suitable for oil-based formulations.

Function: Tocopheryl Acetate stabilizes mixtures. It is skin-repairing. Due to its antioxidant properties, it is a widely preferred ingredient in cosmetics and skincare products.

Recommended usage rate: It is suitable for use at 0.5-1.5% in moisturizers and creams. It is used at 0.5-1% in serums and sunscreens. To nourish the scalp and strengthen hair strands, it should be formulated at 0.1-0.5%. For makeup products, 0.1-1% can be used, and for lip care products, body lotions, and oils, 0.5-2% can be used.
