Shea Butter, one of the most valuable members of the Cold-Pressed Fixed Oils family, should always be within reach, in your bag, for your skin that dries, gets damaged, and loses its moisture in the summer months. Why?
Because it is 100% pure, additive-free, and natural… It can be used both day and night, on all skin types, even on sensitive areas like around the eyes, and provides intense hydration. It softens our hands, damaged by cologne and disinfectant, and provides fast repair for dry areas like elbows and heels. It quickly soothes skin that is red, damaged, and dry from the sun. It can be safely used for skin problems like eczema, dermatitis, and on all skin areas of babies, including the diaper rash area. It provides intense care and repair for hair and scalp.

‘Pure Shea Butter’ contains refined shea butter. This oil is extracted from the seed of the fruit that grows on the Shea Nut Tree, Mangifolia, and is traditionally used as an ointment in Africa.

Properties and uses: Shea butter contains vitamins A, E, and F. These vitamins support skin nourishment and protection. It provides deep skin hydration. It is particularly effective for dry and sensitive skin. It fights free radicals, delaying skin aging and supporting cell regeneration. It softens and smooths the skin, and can increase skin elasticity. It is used in face and body creams, lotions, and moisturizers. It is especially suitable for dry, chapped, or sensitive skin. It is used in hair masks and conditioners. It helps moisturize, soften, and add shine to hair. It is used in peeling formulations that help remove dead skin cells. It can be used to soothe skin irritations and sunburns.

Physical Structure: Its odor and color are characteristic. It is in a solid form at room temperature. It melts with body temperature, becoming softer and easier to apply. It generally has a creamy and dense structure. Its surface is usually smooth, but it can sometimes show crystallization or an irregular structure. This crystallization is a natural property of shea butter and usually resolves when heated. It melts at body temperature (approximately 30-35°C) and is therefore quickly absorbed when it comes into contact with the skin.

Recommended pH range: Face creams and lotions should generally be in the 4.5-5.5 pH range. This pH range protects the skin's natural acidic layer and supports skin health. For body creams and lotions, it can be in the 5.5-6.5 pH range. Hair care products should be in the 4.5-5.5 pH range. This protects the health of the hair and scalp.

Solubility: It is insoluble in water. Since it does not show solubility with water, it does not dissolve directly in water-based formulations, but it can be used by forming an emulsion in water-based products. It dissolves well in oils and oil-based solvents.

Function: Shea butter provides deep skin hydration. It is particularly effective for dry and sensitive skin. It softens and smooths the skin, and can increase skin elasticity. Thanks to its vitamin A and E content, it fights free radicals, delays skin aging, and supports cell regeneration. It strengthens the skin barrier and protects against external factors, preventing water loss. It soothes skin irritations, sunburns, and other minor skin problems.

Recommended usage rate: In face creams and lotions, it is used at a rate of 5-20%. This rate is sufficient to provide the moisturizing and softening effects of the product. For body creams and lotions, it can be used at a rate of 10-25%. Higher rates are suitable for products that deeply nourish and moisturize the body. In hair care products, it can be used at a rate of 5-15%. It provides an ideal rate to moisturize and nourish the hair.

FIXED (CARRIER) OILS;

Obtained from the fruit, seeds, and kernels of the plant, using hot or cold pressing methods. Cold pressing is preferred over hot pressing, as hot methods can destroy vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial substances in the oil. Cold-pressed oils are of higher quality and contain a greater proportion of active ingredients.
