Instructions
- Add ZnO to the oil phase: Pre-disperse ZnO in CCT to prevent clumping.
- Prepare the oil phase: Heat all oil phase ingredients to 70-75°C.
- Prepare the water phase: Bring distilled water, glycerin, and Allantoin to the same temperature.
- Emulsification: Add the water phase to the oil phase and homogenize with a blender.
- Cooling: Add preservative and essential oil below 40°C.
- Filling: Fill into a pump or squeeze tube.
Important Notes
- 20% ZnO provides approximately SPF 30-40 protection (in vitro estimation).
- Official SPF testing requires an accredited laboratory.
- Reapply every 2 hours.
- For a waterproof formula, Polyhydroxystearic Acid can be added.
