What is AC Plant Keratin?

AC Plant Keratin is plant-derived hydrolyzed keratin. Unlike traditional keratin products, it does not contain animal sources (wool, feathers, nails); it is obtained from plant proteins such as wheat, corn, or soy.

Thanks to its amino acid profile, which is similar to the keratin structure in hair shafts, it provides repairing, strengthening, and shine-enhancing effects to the hair. It is especially ideal for chemically treated, dyed, and damaged hair.

Usage Rates

• Hair serum / leave-in: 2–5%

Recipe 1: Repairing Leave-In Hair Serum (100 ml)

Ingredients

• Distilled Water — 78% (78 ml)
• AC Plant Keratin — 4% (4 g)
• Amino Acid Complex — 3% (3 g)
• Provitamin B5 — 3% (3 ml)
• Pentylene Glycol — 5% (5 ml)
• Cationic Polymer (Polyquaternium 10) — 1% (1 g) — for crown effect
• Argan Oil — 2% (2 ml)
• Microcare DB — 2% (2 ml)
• Lavender Essential Oil — 0.5% (0.5 ml)
• Bergamot Essential Oil — 0.5% (0.5 ml)
• Citric Acid — for pH adjustment (if necessary)

Preparation

1. Measure the distilled water.
2. Add AC Plant Keratin and Amino Acid Complex to the water and dissolve.
3. Swollen Polyquaternium 10 in a small amount of water separately and add.
4. Add Pentylene Glycol, Provitamin B5, and Microcare DB.
5. Slowly add argan oil while mixing.
6. Add essential oils.
7. Check pH: should be between 4.5–5.5 (ideal for hair).
8. Fill into a spray or pump bottle.

Recipe 2: Intensive Keratin Hair Mask (150 g)

Ingredients

• Distilled Water — 55% (82.5 g)
• BTMS 50 (MICONIUM) — 8% (12 g) — cationic emulsifier
• Shea Butter — 8% (12 g)
• Avocado Oil — 5% (7.5 g)
• AC Plant Keratin — 5% (7.5 g)
• Amino Acid Complex — 3% (4.5 g)
• Provitamin B5 — 3% (4.5 g)
• Hydrolyzed Collagen — 3% (4.5 g)
• Pentylene Glycol — 3% (4.5 g)
• Pure Vitamin E — 1% (1.5 g)
• Microcare DB — 2% (3 g)
• Argan Oil — 3% (4.5 g)
• Essential oil (optional) — 1% (1.5 g)

Preparation

1. Melt BTMS 50, Shea Butter, and Avocado Oil using a double boiler at 75°C (Phase A).
2. Heat distilled water in a separate container to 75°C (Phase B).
3. Add Phase B to Phase A and mix until homogeneous.
4. When cooled to 40°C, add AC Plant Keratin, Amino Acid Complex, Collagen, Provitamin B5, Pentylene Glycol, and Microcare DB.
5. Add Vitamin E, Argan Oil, and fragrance.
6. Adjust pH to 4.5–5.5.
7. Fill into a wide-mouthed jar.

Usage Recommendation

Apply the serum to damp hair after washing, do not rinse. Apply the mask to clean hair, leave for 15–20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Recommended for use 1–2 times a week.
