The Pore-Deep Cleansing Acid: BHA
BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), unlike AHAs, can penetrate into pores due to its oil-soluble structure. This property makes it indispensable for oily skin, blackheads, and acne. The most common BHA, Salicylic Acid, also possesses powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
Benefits of Salicylic Acid
- Dissolves oil and keratin inside pores — treats blackheads and whiteheads
- Inhibits P. acnes bacteria
- Anti-inflammatory — soothes red pimples
- Refines skin texture with gentle exfoliation
- Ideal for oily T-zone
