It's easy to make a clay mask at home that deeply cleanses pores, purifies the skin, and provides a smooth appearance! You can achieve a professional spa effect with a combination of kaolin clay and glycolic acid.
Required Ingredients (for ~100g)
- White Kaolin Clay — 30% (alternative: Ghassoul Clay, CosPink Pink Clay, Black Mineral Clay)
- Aloe Vera Extract (powder) — 2% (alternative: Oat Extract, Green Tea Extract)
- Allantoin — 0.5%
- Provitamin B5 — 1%
- Glycerin — 5% (alternative: Pentylene Glycol)
- Glycolic Acid — 2% (alternative: Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid)
- Herbal Preservative — 1%
- Distilled Water — 58.5% (alternative: Aloe Vera water)
Production Process
- Use distilled water at room temperature.
- Slowly add the clay to the water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Add glycerin, allantoin, and provitamin B5, and dissolve.
- Add aloe vera extract.
- Add glycolic acid, check pH (should be between 3.5–4.5).
- Add the preservative.
- Fill into a glass jar.
Usage Recommendation
Apply a thin layer to clean skin, wait 10–15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Use 1–2 times a week. Recommended for use with sunscreen.
