How to Make Aromatherapy Body Oil at Home: Relaxing Blend Recipe

You only need a few raw materials to make a stress-relieving, skin-nourishing, and wonderfully fragrant aromatherapy body oil! Plus, it only takes 10 minutes to prepare.

Required Ingredients (for ~100ml)

  • Jojoba Oil — 40% (alternative: Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil)
  • Almond Oil — 30% (alternative: Avocado Oil, Sesame Oil, Rice Bran Oil)
  • Avocado Oil — 20% (alternative: Macadamia Oil, Borage Oil)
  • Vitamin E — 0.5%
  • Lavender Essential Oil — 1.5% (alternative: Blue Chamomile, Neroli, Ylang Ylang)
  • Bergamot Essential Oil — 1% (alternative: Grapefruit, Lemon Peel, Orange Peel)
  • Mandarin Essential Oil — 1% (alternative: Orange Peel, Grapefruit)

Production Process

  1. Combine all carrier oils — no heating necessary, mix at room temperature.
  2. Add vitamin E, mix.
  3. Add essential oils, mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour into a dark glass bottle (essential oils are affected by light).

Suggested Use

Apply to damp skin after showering. Massage in. A lavender-heavy blend helps relax before sleep.
