Required Ingredients (for ~100g)
- VARISOFT BTMS — 8% (alternative: Cetearyl Alcohol 50:50 + cationic polymer)
- Shea Butter — 5% (alternative: Avocado Butter, Mango Butter)
- Avocado Oil — 5% (alternative: Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Macadamia Oil)
- Castor Oil — 3% (alternative: Coconut Oil)
- Cationic Polymer (Polyquaternium 10) — 0.5%
- Provitamin B5 — 2%
- Hydrolyzed Collagen (Oil Soluble) — 2% (alternative: Beta Glucan, Aqua Phytoplex)
- Glycerin — 3% (alternative: Pentylene Glycol)
- Vegetable Preservative — 1%
- Distilled Water — 70.5%
Manufacturing Process
- Prepare the oil phase: Melt and mix VARISOFT BTMS, shea butter, avocado oil, and castor oil at 70–75°C.
- Prepare the water phase: Heat distilled water to 70–75°C, add polyquaternium 10 and glycerin.
- Emulsify: Slowly add the water phase to the oil phase, and mix.
- Cool: Mix until cooled to 40°C.
- Cooling phase: Add Provitamin B5, hydrolyzed collagen, and preservative.
- pH control: pH should be between 4–5 (acidic pH is important for hair).
- Fill into a tube or jar.
Usage Suggestion
Apply to hair after shampooing, wait 5–10 minutes, and rinse with lukewarm water. Weekly use is recommended.
